From 30 October, Gashouder opens its doors as Amsterdam's new cultural venue. The pre-opening season is now in full swing, with Amsterdam Dance Event as its final stop. During this pre-opening season, not all of Gashouder’s new spaces will be accessible yet. After ADE, the new venue will be fully ready.

Depending on the event, you can safely resell your ticket through official channels such as the Gashouder resale or Ticketmaster. Please don't use other channels, such as Marktplaats. The resale start date may differ per event.

If you can no longer attend an ADE event, you can safely resell your ticket via the official Gashouder resale platform. Here's how:

1. Go to the official website or your personal confirmation page.

2. Click 'Sell ticket'.

3. Set your price and sell your ticket.

4. Please note: your payout will be processed within four working days after the event.

If you want to buy a ticket for an ADE event that's sold out, you can do so safely via tickets.gashouder.nl. This is the only safe way to buy tickets.

No, refunds are not possible.

A pre-sale is the ticket sale that takes place before the regular ticket sale. If you sign up for a pre-sale, you’ll get first access to tickets before the general sale starts.

Is an event sold out? Sometimes we open a waiting list that you can sign up for. If additional tickets become available later, you’ll be notified automatically. Please note: joining the waiting list does not guarantee you a ticket.

No, wheelchair tickets cannot be exchanged for regular tickets. If you purchased a wheelchair ticket without being eligible for one, please email info@gashouder.nl and we will cancel the purchase. If you only realize this upon arrival, unfortunately, we will not be able to grant you access to the event.

This depends on the show, but we often work with sealed tickets. This means that your tickets are not sent immediately after purchase; they are only released a few days before the event. Please note: it is important to personalize your tickets. You can do this via the confirmation email. If you do not personalize your tickets, you will not be granted access to the event.

First, check whether your tickets ended up in your spam folder. If they’re not there, please email info@gashouder.nl or ask for help via the ticket shop. We’ll then resend your confirmation.

We scan your ticket directly from your phone. Please keep in mind that you may not have an internet connection at the venue, so download your ticket to your phone in advance.

Gashouder does not have a minimum age, unless otherwise stated on the event page for a specific show. For example, for shows with the ‘Dance’ label we almost always have an age limit of 18+. For children under the age of 14, we recommend that they are accompanied by an adult.

Always carry a valid form of identification. You may be asked to present it at the entrance if there is any doubt about your age or identity.

Wheelchair users are welcome at Gashouder. You can enter through the main entrance and take the passenger lift to our lobby on level -1 and the balcony on level 1.

There is space for a maximum of two wheelchairs on the balcony. If we expect more wheelchair users, we will expand this area where possible, although capacity remains limited.

Please therefore always purchase a wheelchair ticket. This is the only way for us to know how many spaces we need to reserve and ensure there is enough room. If you are visiting in a wheelchair, you may bring one person with you to the balcony. This person must also purchase a wheelchair/carer ticket.

Gashouder is a standing venue. For visitors who find it difficult to stand for long periods, a limited number of seats are available. Unfortunately, seating is not available at dance shows.

As the number of seats is very limited, we cannot guarantee one on the day of the event. Please contact info@gashouder.nl in advance to arrange a seat.

Unfortunately, bringing your own chair or stool is not permitted.

Gashouder is located at Cultuurpark Westergas. The visitor address is Klönneplein 1, 1014 DD Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The Gashouder house rules can be found here. In the event of a violation of the house rules, you may be denied entry to Gashouder or asked to leave the premises. In cases of serious violations or criminal offences, the incident may be reported to the police.

At Gashouder, you can use the open Wi-Fi network Gashouder_Guest free of charge. No password is required.

Gashouder has lockers in two sizes:

Small: H22 × W25 × D50 cm

Large: H36 × W25 × D50 cm

Be aware: only small bags (max. A4 size) are allowed. Larger bags will not be permitted.

Soon, it will also be possible to reserve lockers for other events.

You can also reserve a locker at Gashouder using a QR code. You will receive a code that you can use to lock and unlock your locker during your visit.

Yes. Sound levels at Gashouder can exceed 80 dBA. We recommend wearing hearing protection. Earplugs are available at the bar.

Take care of your ears. When listening to music above 87 dB, it is recommended to use earplugs with a special music filter. This allows you to enjoy the music perfectly, keeps conversations clear, and helps prevent hearing damage and the annoying ringing in your ears afterwards. The earplugs from the dispenser are reusable, so you can protect your hearing not only at Gashouder but at other events too.

The following items and substances are not permitted inside Gashouder:

• Weapons, knives and other sharp or dangerous objects

• Soft and hard drugs

• Bicycle batteries and loose lithium-ion batteries

• Bags larger than A4 size and items with unusual dimensions, such as helmets, are not permitted

• Outside food and drinks, and glassware

• Backpacks, suitcases (including wheeled suitcases) and other large bags

• Stickers, markers and other materials that could be used to damage property

• Promotional materials without prior permission

• Professional photography, video and audio equipment without prior written permission

• Animals

• Prescription medication without the accompanying prescription

In addition, the sale of goods or tickets in and around Gashouder is prohibited.

Professional photography and filming equipment, such as cameras with interchangeable lenses, DSLR cameras, and professional video or audio equipment, is not permitted without prior written permission.

Covert recording equipment, including camera glasses and similar devices, is not permitted.

For security reasons, visitors may be subject to a pat-down search upon entry, and bags may be checked. Cooperation with these security checks is mandatory. Refusal may result in denial of entry.

No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside Gashouder. This is only allowed in the designated area outside the building.

Aggression, discrimination, racism, sexism and harassment are not tolerated, whether directed at visitors or staff. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the venue.

If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, report it immediately to a staff member, security personnel or the bar staff.

If you violate the house rules, you may be denied entry to Gashouder or asked to leave the building. In the event of serious violations or criminal offences, the incident may be reported to the police.

Yes, you may bring medication, provided that the packaging is sealed.

Yes. Our first aid room is available upon request. Please contact the Venue Manager, who will make sure the room is made available for you.

We manage lost and found items through iLost. On this platform, you can check whether your belongings have been handed in at Gashouder.

No. Gashouder is cashless and only accepts card payments.

You may bring bags up to A4 size inside. We do not have storage facilities for larger bags or other large items.

There is no mobile reception in the basement of Gashouder. You can use our free Wi-Fi there, for example to reserve and unlock your locker. There is mobile reception on the ground floor.

Entry: Upon entering Gashouder, you will receive one free recycle token.

First drink: Hand in your recycle token at the bar to receive your first cup or can with your drink.

Next drink: Whenever you order a new drink, return your empty cup or can at the bar.

Lost your cup, can or recycle token? You will need to pay €1 for a replacement cup.

No refunds: Cups, cans and recycle tokens cannot be exchanged for money.

End of the event: Dispose of your last cup or can in the designated bins at the end of the event, or return it to the bar.
