Bringing an improvised instrumental performance, Jon Hopkins shares the stage with multi-instrumentalist and composer Maddie Ashman and guitarist, composer and producer Leo Abrahams. The trio move from hushed, meditative piano to expansive cello, guitar and electronics. Nothing is fixed in advance, the set takes shape in the moment.
British musician and composer Jon Hopkins is a Grammy, Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize nominee. He is known for classically inspired electronic productions, film scores and collaborations with Brian Eno, Coldplay, NASA and Charli XCX. His audiovisual performances have taken him to venues around the world, including Sydney Opera House and London's Royal Albert Hall.
Ashman's work explores pure tuning and its relationship with nature. Together with Abrahams and Hopkins, they push contemporary music and live performance into new territory.
