Harmony
An intimate work dedicated to the music of Philip Glass and Ludovico Einaudi, performed by Jeroen van Veen, together Cellist Joachim Eijlander.
Born in 1969, Van Veen started playing piano in Doetinchem and went on to study at the Utrecht Conservatory with Alwin Bär and Håkon Austbø. He is widely regarded as a leading interpreter of minimal music. His career spans innovative musical projects and his lying-down concerts in unusual locations. He currently has 14 grand pianos stationed across the Netherlands, and he has worked with Robert Craft on the piano works of Igor Stravinsky.
Harmony is a new form of musical gathering centered around contemporary classical music. Harmony is not a festival, concert, or show. It is an innovative format built entirely around an intensification of listening, supported by a 360-degree visual experience. Across a series of ten music ceremonies, in which the boundaries between classical, ambient, and electronic music blur, this project brings together artists who work with sound and space with great precision and subtlety.
