FS Green

Franklin Groen, born and raised in Amsterdam, with Surinamese roots. He started out as a teenage producer in hip-hop, working with Winne, Jiggy Djé and Zwart Licht, and became the youngest ever winner of the State Award for Best Producer. He co-produced “Bumaye” with Major Lazer. Over time, he evolved from beatmaker into a DJ and producer who fuses dancehall, bouyon, house and Afrobeats into a sound of his own, rooted in the Surinamese and Caribbean music culture of the Netherlands.

His club hit “Grind Pon Mi” on Funfair Records is played around the world. In 2025: Glastonbury, a sold-out ADE headline show at Melkweg, and a four-week residency at Phonox in London. Sold-out tours across Asia, Australia and North America. Collaborations with BenjiFlow, Karen Nyame KG, Sevdaliza and Mahalia. Fifteen years of building. This is where it all led.
